Hi, we're the Johnsons! We're so glad you're here, grap a cupcake, sit back, relax and enjoy...
That's me, Calli! I'm just a girl who loves to share...I'm the ultimate mom type, always have been. I take care of everything, a fixer. I'm good at it, so I keep it up. I'm a twenty-something wife, mom, daughter, friend, chef and part-time comedian.
I was born in Carmel, California and spent my childhood years between California and Utah. We stuck around the Salt Lake Valley after I turned 8 or so. We moved a lot and I had to adapt and make new friends. My mom got really sick when I was 14 and had to do a lot of rehab to get back to where she was before her illness. I quit going to school a lot, my sophomore year, I decided to go to class enough to get my driver's license, Then it was back home to be with mom and to fart around, doing whatever I felt like. The summer before Senior year, I realized that I was going to get myself into a really bad situation with no diploma, no college opportunities. So, I went to alternative high school, worked at a dog kennel and barely graduated! A lot of hard work!
After high school I worked for a year or so trying to decide what I was going to do with my life. Tyler, the hubby, was going to school for Plumbing and I went to meet him for dinner...that's when I found a pamphlet for culinary school. So, off I went, to study the world of French Cooking. After I finished up there, I took an Executive Chef position with The Salvation Army, I was there for about 3 years and I loved every minute of it...well, almost. Tyler and I were married while I was still with the SA, so after experiencing real married life and real married bills, I decided to look for another job that had better pay. I took an Executive Pastry Chef position with a local Bakery. That didn't work out too well...the owners were fake and lied a lot to get what they need, plus I had to wake up at the ass-crack of dawn to get to work by 4. Sad days!
After that I took some time and we tried to have a baby, no luck! We fostered an 18 month old and that didn't work out for an adoption. Then, I was just applying for jobs not really expecting much and found my current job. I LOVE it!
